Feeling Tropical: River Island bodycon dress

Hmm lets see what have I been up to lately, well I've been riding my new bike which I got last month. So far I've taken my baby out on a 22miles ride! I'm pretty proud, fingers crossed I'll soon join a riding club. My goal is to hopefully join the MS150 next year. I have to admit, the thought of this scares me for some reason but so did the thought of a 22mi bike ride, so we'll see :-) One thing for sure is that this weather has been great for bike riding. So after a nice ride it was time for brunch and this River River Island bodycon dress was perfect! I love the panel on this dress perfect for all body types!

Peach Lace Dress

One thing I've learned through the years as I online shop is a better understanding of what fits my body. The difference between what I absolutely love seeing on screen from the website and the reality that this outfit may not be suited for my body. I've learned that when it comes to sheath dresses I really need to give room for the hips and thigh area so sizing up is what always works for me. This peach lace dress certainly stands out and perfect to wear for a spring wedding.

A Lazy Day with Snoopy Tee and Vintage Love

I'm feeling quite nostalgic today. I love all things Snoopy!
Snoopy did what he wanted, when he wanted and this Tee-shirt shows Snoopy at his best!
I remember being glued to the TV as a kid whenever Charlie Brown would come on. Actually, I still love watching it whenever there's a special on ABC. Although there's really nothing like the older shows back in the days ;-) Tell me what's your favorite childhood cartoon?

I had to add my vintage touch for this very lazy day. I posted about this (here)

Applique Bolero and Jumpsuit: Anthropologie and Marshalls

One of my favorite stores to visit is Anthropologie, every now and then I find a very nice piece on  a final sales rack which brightens my shopping experience. This Eva Franco appliqué bolero was a fantastic find for $18. If you have seen my other posts, you'll know I have a thing for gold/black or anything with and embellished or sparkle look. So with this bolero itvwas a no brainer especially with such a fantastic price! I wast n't quite sure how I would style it, but somehow I decided to pair it with a black jumpsuit from Marshalls.

Everyday Style & Happenings Edition: Locks of Love/Sky High for St. Jude Children's Hospital

A short 3.5hrs drive down I-10East took me to Lafayette over the weekend and as I mentioned in my other post (Swamp Tour), I had a wonderful time. Hmm Its funny how I've lived in Houston 19yrs and never visited this city. What took me there in the first place? well, what I did not say was that I was there to see my dear friend Alicia auction off her hair for the non-profit organization called Locks of Love at the Sky High for St. Jude Children's hospital. Its been 2yrs she's been growing her hair for this. Alicia first heard about this organization through a co-worker and right away she decided that she wanted to do her part to help. There were a total of 8 ladies and girls that raised over $45k that night. How wonderful is that?!
I have to say I was quite touched by the stories I heard, it made me realize the need for assistance with research and treatment for cancer and other life threatening diseases.

*Alicia enjoys being mostly behind the camera. Besides my husband, she's the person that takes most of my pictures over here on My Wallet My Style. But it didn't take a minute for her to warm up to it ;-)
I absolutely loved her Jacket!!! Found (here)

*Picture of all the ladies that auctioned off their hair for a great cause. Over $45K was raised!!

*But those boots! I really enjoyed seeing her style for the evening. The Corral boots can be found (Here)

*The entertainment for the night was Country singers Big & Rich

It was a fun packed night with food and entertainment. There was quite a lot of other things that were being auctioned off, from a safari trip to Africa to a cute little puppy!
For more information on how you can help with Cancer Research, visit Locks of Love OR Sky High for St. Jude.

Saturday Swamp Day - Nature at its Best

Oh what an experience in swamp land! The timeless beauty, nature at its best, that's the Atchafalaya swamp experience down in south Louisiana. Everywhere I turned was a moment to capture!

Beaux Bridge shopping:

The owners of the Swamp Tour we used also have a Bed & Breakfast Bois De Chenes. Unfortunately since this was the weekend for crawfish festival they were completely booked but I did get the opportunity to go inside for a bit.
