Christmas Flair: Black & White

My passion for creating style boards has become a daily obsession which you can see more of  on my Polyvore account (here). Occasionally I post it on here, but I've decided do so more regularly. Now on to this look! I saw this dress on Bloomingdale's website and thought wow! what a different take on the occasional white dress, I love the hemline. I figured why not pair it with polka dots. And while its the norm to have all things glitter or red or green during this time of year, I thought why not make it a Christmas Black and White Flair, something different right? :-) Just put on the red lipstick and Viola! I love this look very chic and sure to stand out. I've also found some alternatives, check them out, hope you like :-)

Colorblock Sweater with Charlotte Russe

Not in the mood to figure out what to wear? Well there's nothing like a good old colorblock sweater to give the spice you need to an outfit that would have otherwise been lack luster. This sweater I got quite a while back from Charlotte Russe. Charlotte Russe is one of those places I end up getting cami, tops and occasionally stylish sweaters such as this one.

It was bowling day and all I wanted to be was comfortable and off course with some sort of style, so out came this sweater ;-)

I've been trying improve my photography skills especially with different lightings, so this was also a perfect time for me to take some extra shots inside. 

Turtleneck Maxi and colorful Scarf: Fall Fashion American Apparel

A little black dress (LBD) in this case is my Long Black Dress :-)  I got this cotton spandex turtleneck maxi dress from American Apparel. If I could, I would wear this dress every day. A perfect staple to have for the fall that could be accessorized for a dressier look or a more laid back look. And it's quite figure hugging in all the right places ;-) For this look, I decided to wear it with a colorful scarf.

That moment when I decide, enough is enough I've got to get back to doing what it is that I love.
So here am with an outfit post and photos taken by the in-house photographer aka my daughter, Georgina.  In these past few months I have successfully gone through back to school with my 5th and 3rd graders, adjusted to a few new after school activities with the kids and celebrated my 39th birthday last month. *Gasp* A lady never tells her real age they say, well I'm not one to shy away from that, after all it is what it is.  I look around me and see so many beautiful women my age or older living life to the fullest and looking quite beautiful might I add.
So, in honor of birthday celebrations, I couldn't pass up a visit to the Anthropologie store to use up my Birthday discount.
