Electrifying Blue - Futuristic Statement Necklace

Electrifying Blue waves in the night... that's what these photos remind me of.
Checkout that Statement necklace!! I picked it up from River Island while in London.
Whenever there's a sale, what I look for most times are blazers. I'm on a mission to get a good variety of colors. Last week the Langford Market in my area was having a buy one item and get the second free. I spotted this blue quarter sleeved blazer which reminded me of the necklace and the rest was history.

1960's vintage skirt and top for a wedding + Rose Garden wedding

On Saturday I attended my brother in-law's wedding. I love when there's an opportunity to get together and celebrate. The best part is not only watching the lovely couple exchange their vows but also catching up with family and friends that you've not seen in a long time. It really was a great time and a romantic location. For this occasion, I was determined not to purchase an outfit, so what better time for me to launch my first vintage outfit! Do you remember my post about it? :-) This original 1960's outfit was the perfect outfit for this occasion. I'm really starting to love finding vintage items, what's your favorite vintage find?
How else would you have styled this dress? I'd love to hear other styling options :-)

*Here's a close up of my jewelry and clutch. Purchased from Francesca's in The Woodlands Market Street. Clutch was 40% off.

*The Rose Garden at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden. Very romantic setting.

Picture Roundup from my trip

Rounding up on pictures from my recent trip :-)
Ahh..... the sites of Camden Market. I wish I spent more time at this place going into as much shops as possible, with the kids in tow, I realized that this was not going to happen.
I was however glad that the few hours I was there I scored two blazers for £5 each!

*Funky Town is the neat little shop I bought the blazers

*More pictures from Camden Market.

*A girlfriend and I stumbled into this nice little French Bistro located near the Angle tube station area. From appetizer to dessert everything was fantastic! Best Sea Bass I've had in a long while.

*Found this vest at Miss Selfridges for 50% off. Hello Vest! Nice to meet you :-)

*our last day in Aberporth Wales. Loved the views and this quiet little town.

Castle Ruins + Graphic Tiger Tee

My kids and I were in awe of Canterbury castle ruins. As they ran around climbing and exploring, I had to take a moment to take it all in… I shut my eyes and  imagined what it must have been like back then, how fashion has changed from the 13th century. I marvel at how costume designers  for movies are able to replicate such fascinating styles and how todays designers incorporate it into our daily style and not just for the runway. Looking at what I wore that day...I’m sure wearing a graphic tiger tee back then would have labeled me as a witch and thus being part of the witch trials :-)

*Got this Rachel Roy Tote on Sale from Macy's with my 20% off Macy... Score!!

*The other day I stumbled on this neat blog called Mimic of Modes. Its a nice little blog about history on fashion. What period style do you like most? I'm fascinated by both English and French court dresses, I love the richness of the embroidery and lace. I also love the Spencer Jackets much like a crop jacket.

Menswear Inspired look and my visit to Canterbury Cathedral

One trend that continues to fascinate me is the tailored menswear inspired look.
The look is strong and sophisticated and by adding accessories, it gives it the perfect feminine touch. I have to say I was beyond excited when I found the perfect men's leather vest in a neat little vintage shop in Canterbury.

*You know you've made a wonderful purchase when you can't wait to wear the outfit that same day! I threw together whatever I thought would work with this vest and it turned out I had a great combination going. With my grey tuxedo blazer from Target, black lace long sleeved top, black leggings, Origami Locket which I blogged about (here) and my heeled brogue, I was ready for the night out.

*Canterbury Cathedral - Words can't describe how amazing the architecture of this place really is. It was beautiful! I'm so glad I got the chance to visit.

Walk this way - London Calling: Ugg Sneakers & Denim Moto Jacket

This week I'm in London! I decided to be sure to get proper walking shoes as I realized most of my shoes are heels. Its all about comfort for me whenever I'm on trips like this. I decided to pair the dress I wore from my July 4th post (here) with this denim moto jacket from Gap. I love this jacket!

Here are a few pictures I took at StoneHenge and Bath.
