One step at a time - Workout Clothes

My number one form of exercise that I enjoy most is spinning. I get to do this about 3-4 times during the week. It wasn't until recently that I started incorporating running into my workout routine. I've come a long way and its been one step at a time, I can now safely say that running 4miles does not feel so bad. In order to push myself I signed up for a 10mile marathon which will be held in October... yikes! Jeez...with this humidity, I've got my work cut out. Aside from my playlist which puts me in beast mode, I love feeling empowered in my workout clothes. I have found Marshalls to be a great place to shop for workout clothes.

*Once I've got my Polar heart rate monitor, ipod, and shades...I'm good to go!

*I'm a flat footer which means little to no arch and I've found Asics to work perfectly for me. This  one is the GEL NOOSA it's light weight and it gives me the support.

I'd love to hear where you like to shop for workout clothes or is there a specific brand you like to purchase mostly?

Wish me luck on this upcoming first 10mile run!

  1. 10 miles, wow! Good luck! I've purchased workout clothes from a number of places, but my favourite ones are from Lululemon. I run, dance and do yoga, and Lulu's clothes are perfect for all three activities. My running shoes are Nike Free 5.0s, and they are really awesome. If you haven't tried them I'd really recommend going to the store and testing them out! So comfy.

    1. Thanks! I need all the luck I can get. I've tried the Nike Free, those where my last pair but unfortunately not enough support for me. I really should checkout Lululemon!

  2. I use gap sports leggings and any type of quick dry shirt, I also wear justice shorts and nike sports bras :P leggings are perfect in the winter because they cover me when it's snowing but they're still thin and breathable enough to wear under all my fencing stuff lol and my shoes are nike air ballestras, which is a really popular fencing shoe, normal sneakers don't cut it cause the cushioning is in the wrong place for fencing and I used to get really huge blisters on the ball of my foot. Woah 10 miles is a lot to run! Good luck :)

    1. Thanks! :-) It has take me a while to get to 4miles, I'm hoping to make 10miles running but if I don't that's okay I'll walk the rest of the way :-) I've heard a few people love using leggings, I've also heard great things about lulu lemon. I'm curious about that brand, I may just check it out.
