My kids and I
were in awe of Canterbury castle ruins. As they ran around climbing and exploring, I had to take a moment to take it all in… I
shut my eyes and imagined what it must have been like back then, how fashion has changed from the 13th century. I
marvel at how costume designers for movies are able to replicate such fascinating styles
and how todays designers incorporate it into our daily style and not just for the runway. Looking at what I wore that day...I’m sure wearing a graphic tiger tee back then would have labeled me as a witch and thus being part of the witch trials :-)

*The other day I stumbled on this neat blog called Mimic of Modes. Its a nice little blog about history on fashion. What period style do you like most? I'm fascinated by both English and French court dresses, I love the richness of the embroidery and lace. I also love the Spencer Jackets much like a crop jacket.
